Pippa is a bay filly bred and owned by Libby Foster of Colorado. Her dam, Annabelle, was bred on the Navajo Reservation and wears its brand. Libby bought her at auction and saved her from the killers.

Annabelle is registered with the American Warmblood Society, hence her registered name: Red Preferred. She received the 2nd highest score of the weekend when she was inspected by the AWS. Because Annabelle had only one speed when she bought her, Libby suspects that Annabelle was used for racing on the reservation. Libby now uses Annabelle for jumping, dressage and her young son's mount for trail rides in the mountains.
